Orientation On-Campus BBQ on Friday, August 24, 2018
Join us for the University of Northwestern New Student Orientation BBQ. Traditional Residential and Residential Dual Enrollment/PSEO Students may choose to eat on-campus or off-campus at local restaurants. Dual Enrollment/PSEO Commuter and Traditional Commuter Students are expected to eat on campus. We would ask ALL students and guests to please register below to let us know your plans for dinner by Monday, August 20th.
First - locate your type of UNW Student:
- Residential Traditional & Dual Enrollment/PSEO Student (lives on campus) - See #1 below
- Commuter Traditional Student (does not live on campus, but rather commutes) - See #2 below
- Commuter Dual Enrollment/PSEO Student (does not live on Campus) - See #3 below
Second- register below following the specific instructions for your type of student:
OPTION 1 – Eat at On-Campus BBQ - Dine on campus with other students and families. Bon Appetit will be serving a BBQ meal
Friday evening, August 24 | 4:00 – 6:30pm
Register to attend dinner by Monday, August 20 at 2:00pm
Menu - Garlic Rosemary Grilled Chicken Breast or Cola Braised Beef Brisket, Marinated Balsamic Local Tomato, Roasted Potato Salad, Barbecue Baked Beans, Kettle Chips, Watermelon, Assorted Dessert Bars and Beverage
Cost is $10 per person when paid with a student meal plan OR $12 when paid with credit card (includes sales tax and processing fee). Children 3 and under eat for free. A student's meal plan may be used to pay for a meal for parents/guests.
When registering, choose from these ticket types –
- RESIDENTIAL Student or Guest eating on campus - pay with credit card ($12)
- RESIDENTIAL Student or Guest eating on campus - using student meal plan ($10 recorded against student's meal plan balance)
OPTION 2 – Eat Off Campus - Head off campus and enjoy a meal at one of our local restaurants, explore what the Roseville area has to offer, and grab some last minute school supplies while having quality time with your student. At check-in you will find a list of restaurant suggestions.

2. Commuter Traditional Student (not living on campus) | Parent/Guest and Student
Commuter students are encouraged to dine at UNW with other Commuter students and families on Friday evening.

3. Commuter Dual Enrollment/PSEO Student (not living on campus) | Parent/Guest and Student: SOLD OUT
Dual Enrollment/PSEO Students will not be attending this meal with their parents/guests, they will have a complimentary meal in the Billy with their student orientation group leader.
*Note: Late registration begins as of 2pm on August 20 | Price increases to $10 with a limited number of late registrations available.
Parent/Guest Dinner & Session:
Parents/guests are invited to Nazareth Great Room for a meal and to hear from a PSEO Parent Panel which will help you navigate the journey.
Register to attend dinner by Monday, August 20 at 2:00pm
Menu - Mandarin Chicken Salad with sesame vinaigrette (gluten free and served on the side). Also on the table will be dinner rolls and butter, water, and cookies for dessert (with gluten-free options available).
Cost for each Parent/Guest is $5.00 (including sales tax and processing fee). Children 3 and under are free.
(Cost of each Parent/Guest meal increases to $10 as of 2pm on August 20 | Limited number of late registrations available)
